Q....How long should a rechargeable battery last?

A....Our experience in this industry has shown that rechargeable batteries that are cycled on a daily basis end up having the longest useable life span. Generally, the average life span for rechargeable batteries used in the survey industry is 3 to 4 years. Leaving a battery sit for weeks or even months at a time without use will damage a battery and diminish its ability to hold a charge. To minimize this problem, always try to cycle the batteries at least once per month during storage times.
